Just a few updates regarding local events in the coming months.

The RCSEng are holding a free one day meeting on 29th June entitled “Improving your academic profile” and is suitable for both students and trainees – further details are in this link.

HEENE are running the excellent “Clinical Research in the NHS Programme”, a 2 day course covering various aspects of academia including research methodology, statistics and career advice – further details in this link.

The Northern Vascular Meeting is taking place on 29th June at Jesmond Dene House – abstract submission is open until 15th June

The Annual Carlisle Academic Surgical Prize meeting is taking place in September, with the opportunity to win 3 prizes of up to £400. The abstract deadline is 3rd Sept
