Project Advert Scheme
One of our key goals is to facilitate involvement in research.
Feedback from both the University Surgical Society and trainee groups made us aware that budding surgeons often struggle to find projects or supervisors.
This advertising scheme allows research supervisors (consultants, senior trainees or collaborative groups) to upload projects onto the website with a specified role, timeframe and potential outputs to be achieved. We hope this will help juniors to access the wealth of excellent research opportunities which are available within the region.
Projects are invited in every realm and level of research in all specialties, including proposed case reports or literature reviews/meta-analyses, involvement in case series/cohort studies/clinical trials/collaborative studies, and MRES/MD/PhD project proposals.
We ask mentors to upload projects via the online proforma in the Project Upload Area of this site
These will be listed as Open Projects and will be distributed to the NESTAC mailing list.
Once a project is assigned it is moved to the In Progress Projects section.
Submit a brief summary of the outputs and it will be posted in the Completed Projects section.
