We would like to welcome you to the North East Surgical Training Academy (NESTAC) Autumn 2018 meeting, taking place at Newcastle Medical School on Saturday 13th October 2018. NESTAC aims to stimulate interest and enthusiasm for surgical research in the North East by encouraging aspiring surgeons to get involved in academia.
At the 2018 Autumn meeting we will have a morning of plenaries introducing NESTAC, discussing research opportunities for medical students and junior doctors, and representatives from the major surgical specialties to highlight research opportunities in their field. The afternoon will comprise of a networking session, where specific projects will be offered to medical students and junior doctors. We hope this will allow attendees to leave the launch event with a surgical project agreed with a supervisor.
